This needs to be short becsaue it's late and I have to go and spend money.
So I was just reading Dooce and how it all went down for her. A little frightening, yet liberating. She is a great writer.
Moving on.
I've realized in Central Alberta people dress differently then us city folks.
First they choose their theme of the day.
1. Hick Cowboy
2. Redneck roughneck
3. 80s kickback
4. Farmer extrordanire
5. Front teeth optional
6. 1994 Friends eposode, The One where Rachel is cute.
7 Last year's Sears catolouge model.
Sooo... I have seen all of these walking around the place.
To expand.
1- wears the full cowboy gear, the boots, the shirt the pristine jeans, the rope tie and by golly the hat.
2- wears sweats that are all holey and a nasty t-shirt, doesn't shave and smells like oil.
3- oversized t-shirt, oversided shoulder pads, tapered legs and scrunchies in a side ponytail
4- overalls with one strap not done up, also see number 3
5- see number 2, but with 8 dirty children in tow and a rickey old car
6- Clearly trying to be straight from the early episodes. again the tapered legs and the hair, oi, so much hairspray...
7- this is a close attempt at fashion and about the best that can be done without going directly into a city. I won't say anything bad about this.
So this is just an idea, but I have seen all of this, it makes me laugh, but I have seen it all. You don't see this kind of stuff in the city.
