I haven't updated for a whole week and I didn't realize until yesterday. I'm bad at this. I have been so busy at work and I generally update before I go home, but I have been getting done late and I didn't want to update then, sooo... no update.
So moving on, I often blog in my head, and then I plan to write it and I sit here and it all escapes me. I suck.
so I'll do like I did last week and blog when the though strikes me.
Anyhow I have been gone for a while and I got some stuff done that has been burdening me for weeks, and it feels so good to slide that folder into it's spot and walk away, oh yeah!
Last weekend I went to a concert and I was too ashamed to write about it here. But I have since lamented over that and I have decided that it's ok to write about it.
Ready for it...
I.
Went.
To.
A.
Backstreet.
Boys.
Concert.
And the really freaky part. I liked it!
The opening bands were horrible in ways that music should never suck. They were too loud, thereby making the music horribly distorted. I sound old saying that the music was too loud, but you couldn't hear the singing at all! The 2nd opening band sang a song titles "Pop Princess" and all I heard was "Pop PRINcess, mo mo mo yadda yadda grunt grunt yeah, POP PRINcess." It was dreadful! The frist girl jumped around so much that she couldn't talk to say thank you at the applause, and yet her singing was fine, hmm did she take lessons from Ashlee Simpson?? Blah who cares.
But when the Boys came on, it was magical. Ok I'm getting a little too freaky, but they were good, the sound quality was much better. AND AND AND I was not old there, there were plenty of people my age and older! And there were heaps of guys there too! There were lots of little girlies who were dressed to the nines, I wanted to take them aside and explain to them: "you know honey, the Boys aren't going to pick you out of the crowd and propose on the spot, you are one of 50000... so wipe of your face and have fun!"
Equally as frightening were the moms who were as dressed up. There were some cougars on the prowl and they wanted a chunk o'BSB. I wore jeans and a t-shirt, as did my friend. We are practical, we are normal and we knew that we wouldn't be proposed to by Howie and AJ respectivley. But we wouldn't leave our guys even if they did propose, no never! (hmmm)
SO I went and I am out of the closet.
Hello my name is Deadra, and I went to a Backstreet Boys concert and I liked it. [hold me now please]
Seriously their music is more grown up.
Next installment, me going to a country music function... arg. I'm going this weekend with some of Adam's freinds. I'm pseudo excited. It saddens me that I see his friends more than mine, and saddens me more that his friends make more effort to include me even when he isn't in town. I have left a lot of messages for my friends and they don't return my calls. I'll take that as a hint and give up. Don't get me wrong I have some great freinds in Calgary too and elsewhere, who have called me and have maintained a friendship, but some who haven't. I mean, one of them went to a Backstreet Boys concert with me for heaven's sake! Now that's a good friend.
Oh an update on my book on tape. It was wonderful to drive with it. I found that the lady who was reading it, reads too slow and I read much faster but I understand why. Once you get into the groove of it, it's all cool and really fun! I feel really lazy listening to a book, but I was only going to do it when I was driving, but I want to know what happens next. So I make myself do other things when I am listening, like walk, or clean and whatnot. But still very cool.
Now if the library would carry some better books. I am not really intrested in all of the self help ones. Although CLEARLY I need them!
bwah ha ha ha.
Well I am going to end this now, I have stuff to do, although I may come back, although considering my past history with this, I may not.
You'll accept that though, right?
have a nice day!
