So I am on my vacation, and I don't think that I talked about it that much. I was so busy that work that I didn't have a chance to get that excited about it. But now that it's here, well I'm still not that excited, but the past few days have been really whirlwind.
We originally were going to leave on Saturday morning from Calgary, and we would fly into Houstan and then to New York. But there were so many issues with that like, well hmm Rita. I didn't want to die on my vacation in a hurricane, and we were going to rent a car in New York and drive into Canada, but apparently Canadians aren't allowed to do that. So things changes. Now it's CRAZY. We left Calgary Saturday evening and we flew into Seattle, and it's a great feeling to know that you are going the WRONG way! But it worked out. Adam has some cronies there so since we had a big layover we hooked up with them for dinner and I had a great time making fun of them. From there we flew out to Boston and it was an overnight flight, and this is where things get fun. In my mind an overnight flight should have a few things, firstly elbow room, but Internet I flew economy and that just doesn't happen. Especially since I was sitting next to this HUGE guy who took up his elbow room and all of mine... it's a good thing that I love Adam and didn't mind getting a little close. So anyhow there were no pillows and blankets for a lot of the people on the flight. BUT IT WAS AN OVERNIGHT FLIGHT you scream at the screen. Oh yes Internet, I am with you on that! It was horrible to try to sleep in the centre seat. I hated it... oh well, Adam slept great.
We got into Boston at 6 am and called the hotel to see if we can check in, and we can't, not without paying more, so we decided to go and sight see, but I'll explain that in another post. Now we are in Montreal and we're sleepy, even though we have just had a 3 hour nap. I think our bodies are just confused. I think it will get better. My birthday is on Wednesday and we'll be in Toronto, and it's exciting. I am going to be able to see a friend that I haven't been able to see since highschool I am sure that it will prove to be interesting. Anyhow I am going to write my letter to Boston now.
Oh yes I forgot. My birthday, A) I will be old and B) I want to know what Adam got me, I packed his bag and I go into it often to repack for him or get something, so I know there isn't anything mysterious in it, also he doesn't have his own carry on, we share mine... so either he is going to buy my gift there, or he is has something small, gulp. I'll let you know.
